Default Going to the US - new system

So I see from the front page of the forum that there is a new system that will replace the old green visa waiver form I-95 W for travel between Canada and US for UK citizens.

Has anyone tried this out yet? Does it actually make things easier at the border?

After a grilling we got at the Quebec/Vermont land border couple of weeks ago would be happy to see anything to cheer things up a bit...
