Default to go or not to go.....what is the answer!!

hi, sukhi and all!
well, well, what a bit of a negative attitude you have developed suddenly! i read some of your posts before but they were never this bad!! no, only joking; when one is about to make such a big jump in life, there are always doubts creeping in. we have managed to get our pr cards etc recently and i will be heading to canada within the next fews weeks in order to secure a job. ok, being an engineer, i will obviously be aiming for similar jobs, but i think in life you have to be flexible, so i will take any reasonable job to start with, aside of flipping burgers!
i have been to ontario many times to check it out, and i think you will agree that downtown toronto just cannot be beat, but i willalso be flying to vancouver to check that place out. you mention brampton--to be honest, i wouldn't look at moving there as in my opinion, its becoming a bit off a dump in places; oakville, milton and guelph are all good choices. scarborough is another dump to beware of!
anyhow, i hope this will encourage you a bit; you are a tradesman after all, so why fear unemployment? one thing i would suggest however, is that you dont sell out your house when you go. that is burning bridges and i for one do not advocate that--you must have a safety net of sorts. why dont you rent it out via an agency? if you have a very small mortgage on it, the rental return you get will be very handy if you transfer it over to canada, dont you think?
