WOW! now that's an opportunity not to be missed - very happy to hear this.

And like you said, can still be organising things for the UK in the back ground if needed.

All the best to you both :D

Sounds like an exciting opportunity. Fingers crossed and all that.

On the giving it a go (or not) and moving back to the UK thing. Never ever feel the need to justify or defend your actions. This is simply an internet forum where opinions are expressed. It's your damn life & if you want to move back to the UK or anywhere else, what the hell do a bunch of people on an internet forum know about what you should or shouldn't do?;)

Agree with every word.
Good luck, it really sounds brilliant for you.

Thanks for the support guys! Fingers still crossed. Trying to sort out an in person interview in Vancouver - ROAD TRIP!! I hope I am right in thinking they wouldnt drag us from Nova Scotia to Vancouver if they wernt serious! Asked lots of questions already so hoping I have covered everything and it is as they say it is!!

And Atlantic Expat - you are so right!! Have read so many posts on here where people are bashed for their opinions/thoughts etc - I guess I was just trying to avoid that. I think many who write on here when things are not going so well are quite vulnerable, especially when they have very little social support/friends around so derogatory/negative comments have alot of impact - so the less of that the better!!!

Anyhow, as for the job, we shall see how it all pans out!

Certainly could fly - but would really like to take a drive and make a holiday of it! Thought it might be fun, that way even if we dont get the job it will still have been a fun experience!! :D

How about fly there and drive back in a hire car .... I'm sure one way would be more than enough .... most of the middle is INCREDIBLY BORING!

Have heard that about the plains, was thinking of coming through the states one way so doing a circular route! Hadn't considered fly out, drive back - might well be an option! We shall see how it all pans out!
