Default GBP or US $

We are currently in Calgary on work permits and my husband has a contract with an American / UK company for some technical writing.
My question is: he has the option of being paid in GBP or USA $., which would be best?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Seriously - are you expecting an online forum to give you an opinion on that without knowing your personal and financial circumstances?

And what about Canadian dollars?

Personally I'd go for pounds because the US dollar has been pretty ropey lately. However, that's reliant on the Bank of England continuing to raise interest rates and not bottling out.

I can't see that it makes a blind bit of difference. But maybe I'm thick.

The US$ has been on the slide for some time now and there is no end in sight. GBP is much more stable but has also depreciated against the CAD$. If I was to choose, I'd definitely go for GBP.
