I too am an only child and when we moved with our children my parents were upset but could understand why were we leaving the UK. Having been over here a number of times now they have also decided to move (I think missing their grandchildren played a major part in this) You may find that after a short time they will join you in Canada! They are worried about paying for medication out there, etc, I don't suppose you have any ideas about what happens with this if they come through the sponsored route do you?
