Dont worry Heidi,

The most useful threads are sometimes the ones that go off on a tangent.

This one has just opened up for other people, so that in itself is good.

I hope this has helped all concerned.

Hi

I too am an only child and when we moved with our children my parents were upset but could understand why were we leaving the UK. Having been over here a number of times now they have also decided to move (I think missing their grandchildren played a major part in this)

You may find that after a short time they will join you in Canada!

Good luck

Julie:thumbsup:

Actually, about the time I started to feel right at home here, if I listened to that song I'd tend to get real emotional! :o

One of the few top country artists to play out this way (this being one of the fabulous things about living here as we love country music) that we have yet to see live - must correct that soon.:)

Julie can I ask about this - we are hoping my parents will be sponsored by my brother who is a Canadian Citizen.

However both my parents are diabetics - my dad on insulin and my mum on tablets - they both have a heck of a lot of medication for various things despite being in their mid 60s.

They are worried about paying for medication out there, etc, I don't suppose you have any ideas about what happens with this if they come through the sponsored route do you?

It is really hard getting information on this.

Many thanks and sorry once again for going off onto another tangent.
