"The French"

Are French Canadians as "Friendly" as THE French?

If you have ever queued up in a lift queue in a French ski resort you will know what I mean?

I don't really know what you mean but trust you will be grateful to the French Canadians who put in place the policies that made you eligible to immigrate.

I met one F-C dude, he was fine, had good banter, the 'deep' drawn out F-C accent can take a bit of getting used to, and maybe it is that which causes the communiction problem, puts you on the back foot and may give the wrong impression, both ways.

Course, this is in BC outside of QC so maybe a more neutral environment helps foster happier discourse between the Anglos and the Francophones.

The dude was perfectly pleasant but spat and smoked a lot. Not spitting into garbage bins though. Perhaps he needed coaching from dbd33 in the finer arts of hacking and harking into assorted depositories ?

Rich.

In the same way the French show their gratitude to the British for their liberation during the second world war?

I don't think we really need your racism in Canada. Please stay where you are.

I hear a few "Onion Seller's" around the shops....But I think you'll find them a different breed to the yellow livered Alp inhabitants.

I'm certainly willing to help with the etiquette and, accordingly, I'd advise him to aim at Wearsider.
