Default Foxes Removals

I know that I asked a similar question through a previous thread and a number of people were going to be using them.

Has anyone used Foxes in the past few months and if so were they ok?

Not selling the house, means cutting costs and they are substantially cheaper than Robinson and Doree Bonner.

Thanks in advance

Rob

Used them in Feb 2007, and all went well. Cheap, efficient and trustworthy.

We were going to use Fox as their original quote was way cheaper than Robinson's and White's. However, our slight favourite were Robinson's (all 3 companies did very professional presentations we thought) and so we asked them to price match Fox. They said "no way", your quote from Fox is an error. We checked with Fox and sure enough, they had left out a number of elements of the quote (they had left the quote to an inexperienced newcomer and hadn't checked it before despatch).

Although we were confident that Fox would have performed the moving service well, this sort of dented our confidence in them a bit and so we opted for Robinsons - which largely worked out OK for us.

IF your quote is significantly below the competitors, it might be worth checking that it is a fully inclusive quote - you will have enough on your mind as it is without having to deal with arguments with your moving company over what was/wasn't included in the quote.

Good luck with the move,

J&E.

Hi Rob

It's Sue from Nanaimo(queue CHC, Jan)!! How are things going with your plans to relocate??

Sorry to go off topic. I saw your thread today, it's been a while since I was last on here, it's all been manic busy with trying to get the B&B up and running. Needless to say things are going well and we had our first guests on 10th May, with may more now starting to trickle in. We've all settled extremely well and all love living in Nanaimo.

Back to your question on the thread. We used Fox's, office based in Preston, I would not hesitate in giving them an excellent recommendation. They did a fantastic job for us, the transition from UK to our home here was quick and extremely efficient. Everything was packed so well, we didn't have a single thing missing or broken and much, much cheaper than many of the others, including those of Robinson's and Anglo Pacific.

Best wishes and good luck with the rest of your move.
Sue
