It's going to get easier apparently. Not sure what this actually means for those who need to do this though.

If it gets the cliched doctors out of the taxis and into the hospitals it has to be a good thing.

I can't see that it will make any real difference. I am sure that the relevent regulators will argue that, currently, their assessment criteria are timely, fair, predictable. It will not increase the amount of residency places available for doctors, it will not increase the numbers of places available for lawyers to article, it will not increase the number of junior positions for teachers, etc., etc.

You are probably right; I can't see it making any difference either. In fact I suspect any new rules will just make things worse.

"More than 40 percent of new immigrants to Canada are estimated to be doing jobs for which they are overqualified. In fact, Toronto - Canada's biggest city - has more qualified professionals driving cabs than any other city in the world."

They should put that in the brochures.
