As you know from other post that i had some bad news in the uk......
so my options have changed as we are being given a few weeks, so i am looking aflying back for aweek and we are all joining up in blackpool for a blast............
so i can sort the flights out, have been given a good contact and they will be highly reduced due to the nature of the flight and luckily as i am in contact with my mums care team they will email me all the documents i need.
so i have been looking for something central as hotel/ or self catering....
does anyone know of any good hotels etc....or anywhere good for kids...
i have only ever stopped at haven with the kids, i have a good quote of them so it is an option, but i am limited on budget...........
(my daughter will blow the rest when we get there on jaffa cakes
)
any idea guys

Blackpool my home town
Will you be renting a car and if so I would suggest one of the Travel Lodges slightly out of town.
A least that way you might avoid one of the many Stag/Hen groups.

When I was a wedding planner I was quite impressed with this hotel, the service was great at the time. But this was a few years ago could have changed management. Its close to Blackpool Airport and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. I think the parking here was limited if I remember rightly http://www.sleepwellhotels.com/hotel...usel/index.htm
Its right on the prom so you can get the tram into the town centre and is slightly out of the way where pubs are concerned.
Hope this helps

Why dont you try Newton Hall holiday camp, its just up the road from where I used to live, its also on the bus route into town. Theres also Marton Mere which is on Preston New Road and again a bus route into town. All possibly busy though due to the school holidays. Good luck with your trip and dont forget to bring some Lancashire Cheese back with you, your allowed $2o worth.

All synchronistic, I had to fly back to Blackpool for one of the reasons you don't want to go back, a few months ago. Heading back there again next month for the actual vacation we already had planned. Don't usually go twice in one year.
Where in Blackpool do you have to get to most? Fortunately I stayed with my parents but there are more hotels and guest houses in Blackpool than anything else so you can probably find something near to where you need to be and then cross out all the places that seem likely for the afore mentioned stag/hen crowd, which unfortuantely seems to be all that Blackpool is nowadays.
There are some decent hotels on the promenade just north of Gynn Square which is a short bus or tram ride from the town centre. If there are a large number of people you could try calling a few of the guest houses and you might be able to just book all the rooms in a smaller place.
