Finally Sold!

Hi All,
well we have sold our house to an investor for alot lower than it's value, but we so need to get going. We will be out for middle of June, so only 5 to 6 weeks away. So glad things are finally moving, emotions up and down and i'm sure it's not over yet.

Having just had a 4th offer fall through in a year I'm sure you're doing the right thing! Our kids have been trhough a roller coaster of a year - going / not going and we now can't trust anybody until they sign on that dotted line and hand over the money..... The Scottish , French or Canadian system has got ot better all round.

'Grats. We keep telling ourselves 'a house is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it, there's no such thing as market value' blah blah blah.
Therapy sessions required.
Good luck hope it works out smooth for you.

When we were thinking about it last year, and looking at house prices in Canada we were not considering the amount of money the estate agents estimated anyway, so I think we'd manage
One thing.....if you don't mind me asking, what percentage did they knock down to, and were they open to negotiation at all? What company did you use? (you can pm me if you don't feel its appropriate to say on the boards)
Good luck!!

we used private investor through the estate agent. He offered at first 15% lower, but after negotiating with him we settled for 10% lower. Just means we can get going now, we can afford to do it this way, now wait for the surveyor to do his bit. Thanks for all replies.
