From: From West Yorkshire to Ontario. Now enjoying life in Saskatchewan

Well we are now 3 weeks into our new life in a little hamlet 35mins away from Saskatoon. The house OH bought is really fantastic, plenty of room for the kids to play inside and out(if the darn weather ever picks ups).
The kids have seen their new school and like it and everyone is settled. Yes we do miss living by the lake and Ontario sure is different but people are just so friendly here and go out of their way to help you. There is a real community spirit.
It's only been 3 weeks but I really do feel like this is home (have not had that feeling in a very long time).
OH's work have a 2 week shut down soon, so hopefully we can get to see more of Saskatchewan.
Just one question......How the hell do you get rid of the gophers, we thought awwww how cute at first until we saw the holes in our garden. Next year is going to be worst when I plant the veggie garden.

Well done for seeking out somewhere to settle when your first choice didn't quite 'fit'.
It's the best feeling in the world to be welcomed and feel part of a good community. That's how we felt
