finally! mobile phone competition in canada
surprise surprise - rogers et al are whining about having another company threaten their monopoly
http://www.windmobile.ca/WIND-news/d...mobile-market/ its the company behind yak apparently. first, the mount pleasant community centre finally opens its doors and now this. can life get any better??? naturally, not available in QC. FAQ has more info |
Re: finally! mobile phone competition in canada
Who knows how successful they will be? I think the biggest move to competition in the Canadian market was Bell and Telus introducing HSPA networks a month or two back. Prior to this, Rogers was the only network that was physically capable of providing phones like the iPhone.

Plus you've got Dave Wireless coming out at some point in the new year. Don't know what name they'll be operating under though.

Re: finally! mobile phone competition in canada
Well, hopefully not "Dave". I mean, c'mon ....
(no offence to any Daves out there, of course :p _ |

Although it's hard to see why Dave's is any more laughable than Roger's ... it's what you get used to hearing ..... how about Bill's next? :p

Re: finally! mobile phone competition in canada
All i ever think when I hear about more phone companies, is bloody hell, more nobs to deal with when trying to get phone records for investigations, telus is awful.
I did catch something about Canada having the most expensive rates in the world, so competition is good. |

It should be pointed out that you're willingly paying this money to these so called thieves. Having a cell phone isn't compulsory last time I checked. If you don't want to pay it, don't pay it.
