Talking Fighting traffic tickets!

Do it!!!!!

I just got off with a possible $287 fine for running a red light (which of course I didn't) by appealing it and going to trial. Just have to convince old judgy boy that the evidence is "beyond a reasonale doubt". So basically it's your word against the cop. I even got moved out of my session to my own special court. Very nice of them!

Other cases in my session before I was called out and moved were people plea bargaining for (mostly speeding offences) that the fine be reduced and the offence be lowered (e.g. 15kph above the limit as opposed to 30) therefore less points.

The great Canadian myth that the cops usually don't turn up to court appears to be just that, a myth. There were about 20 people in our session and only one case was dropped because the cop didn't show. The room was full of them!!

Cheers!!
