Default Extortion price

Guess what guys, i have read somewhere that people are putting their house for rent from now for $900 a night due to olympic 2010. Some estate agent have even quadrupled house price due to this. So falling house price in the US isn't even affecting vancouver.

Why has this got to happen as soon as i decide to emigrate, please give feedback on what you all think.

Thats just during the few weeks of the Olympics though.

This is nothing new, house rent's in Wimbledon during the tennis are far more than that.

The Olympics should keep the housing market buoyant in Vancouver until they finish.

But we are not expecting dramatic house price decreases in Canada, as the market is very different from the USA or the UK due to Canada's more stringent lending policy's.
