Default EXPO 2010?

Hi everyone.
I wonder if anyone knows of any sort of canadian expo in the UK this year. Like an employers market or immigration expo / fair. I am obviously not clued in on the correct lingo so would appreciate any help or advice on this.

Many thanks

I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you, but can you tone it down a bit. My eyes hurt.

(and welcome to the forum)...

There's one in Manchester I believe soon, (there was a thread a couple of days ago about it)

HOWEVER

My advice to you would be that in the orangey coloured bar at the top of this page - there is a search funtion. Type in the word EXPO and search all Canada forums for threads on this subject.

Overwhelming opinion is that you get more info from this site than you could ever hope to get there and that they are a bit crap (money exchange companies / Immigration consultants / shipping companies just touting for business etc)

We were going to go to one in March but after seeing everyones feedback on here, have decided not to waste the money.....however, if you are still wanting to go then go to the following websites:
www.emigrate2.co.uk
www.expo-canada.com

Hope this helps

Welcome to the forum.

To the Mods: Would it be worth having a sticky about these expos so people wouldn't have to keep asking if they are worth attending?

You mean like the sticky at the top that is for Newbies? The one that they clearly all read because they always check the Wiki first, follow the forum netiquette, site rules, never ask questions without searching to see if it's been asked before, etc.

Oh, wait.....................

Sandown Racecourse in Esher, Surrey hold the Emigrate Exhibiton on the 6th and 7th March (someone already posted the link www.emigrate2.co.uk) and the company I work for exhibit every year. I think it's totally down to personal preference if you find them useful or not, the way I see it if you've got lots of questions then it is. There is a range of experts there (visa's, removals, recruiters (limited number) migration specialists, removal firms, money exchange companies and relocation agents, plus some regional and government departments too) and they do some meet the experts presentations where you can hear about certain topics and quiz the experts.
