This is the best piece of news that I have had in ages. is it posted on any official governemnt sites yet? The ones that I've looked at still don't mention it.

I was in the Riverbend registry office, Edmonton, and actually saw the paperwork they were reading through! It had arrived on their desks on friday 29th. It wasn't just for UK drivers, it apparently names other countries, but I dont know which ones!

What about this idea that you can get a surrendered license back? I haven't found it yet online. Any ideas if that's true? I thought they notify the state that issued the license to cancel the validity as they have rules about not holding more than one license in North America.

This thread is about exchanging licences from the UK, not the US.

WOW....Can't believe this....Do you know your situation is exactly what usually happens to me....For instance when the points were 75, I only had 74, and the only way I could get the extra point was to sit a French exam...NO sooner had I completed everything...The points dropped to 67...I was held back from applying for immigration for almost a year....So It's pretty WONDERFUL to get some GOOD news.
