In BC you have to take both a written and driving test to get a licence. So what if I did this: Used my friend's Alberta address to get an Alberta one, then transferred it to a BC one?! Saves doing two tests and having to borrow a car etc.

Also it's not legal to have a GB license at the same time as holding one from a country with which GB has a reciprocal swap arrangement. It's a bit confusing when individual provinces aren't swapping but you can be sure that if you swap your GB one, you oughtn't to be requesting a replacement for it.

We came to Alberta in the early nineties and got a licence without taking a test, not even a written one......loopholes are a wonderful thing, eh? Now why isn't there an 'angel with halo' smilie face?
