US FOMC left rates unchanged, hints at no sign of rate cuts. Not the news those of us looking for a good rate wanted.

OK -so back up to 2.20 this morning - marginal move - might I even get one cent or two more by end of today ?? I am poised, like a coiled sloth, ready to pounce on my phone .... :D

If they cut rates, the US dollar is toast. They can't raise without crashing the economy and they can't cut without crashing the economy. And with Chinese costs and wages increasing, they can't hold without increasing inflation.

Anyway, after the wimpy BoE rate rise today I think I'll be closing my savings accounts next week and shipping the rest of my money out of here. They should have raised 0.5% if they were at all serious about inflation.

Some of the comments with the rate hike from BOE were hinting at cuts later in the year.
