english mustard
can you buy english mustard in stores out there? like colmans etc, im not to keen on the french stuff ??

You certainly could buy Coleman's English in Montreal but not at all of the supermarkets.

no worries i got a 20ft container, so bistow, marmite mustard, pot noodle, !!

Bisto Instant Gravy granules, both chicken and beef can be found in our local "No Frills" store.
Ive seen colemans powder locally, but not premade. However, it is on the netgrocer site, so I guess its readily available if you go looking for it.
Failing that "Hot Mustard" is the local equivalent. Thinking about it, there are about 50+ types of various mustards and horseradishes on the shelf, its a world of choice. Live a little, experiment, its a new country and all that. Maybe there is something even better than english out there
Ive seen colemans powder locally, but not premade. However, it is on the netgrocer site, so I guess its readily available if you go looking for it.

Word of caution, my parents came for a visit and brought 24 jars of English mustard. 4 weeks later they came back for a visit and brought another 24 jars. Unfortunately the shelf life of a jar of Coleman's is not as long as you might think and you can only use so much English mustard in a year.

You can buy Colemans mustard powder, and the ready made jars and Grey Poupon and Maille etc. etc. etc. in all the supermarkets in Regina. If you can get it in Regina, I would think you can get it anywhere.
That French's mustard, the stuff they put on hot dogs, I don't that has a shelf life. One year my son and I bought an enormous container of the stuff at Costco and we filled out small plastic squeeze bottles with it for years. I kept the big container downstairs - not in the fridge and I bet it lasted us five years. I thought it had vinegar etc. in it so it doesn't need refrigeration.
Nowadays its probably got more chemicals than mustard!
