Default Emigrating with pets to canada

Hi

Could anyone out there tell me what is the procedure for emigrating bringing a dog with you to Canada from the U.K. or New Zealand We have a friend who wishes to do this and I am trying to help them. I have asked immigration offices, but they are a bit vague, I just want to know what it costs, are there quarantine periods etc. those kinds of things. Thanks a lot and look forward to hearing from anyone.

I have friends who brought two dogs with them. I don't think its all that complicated but will leave the answer to those who have done it. There is no quarantine in Canada.

Hi we brought our dog with us in May this year, all you need to do is make sure the dog is upto date with jabs, you need to take it to a vet who is certified with D.E.F.R.A where you will receive a certificate to say dog is in good health etc then when you get to Canada and through immigration you have to pay a fee which was about $32.00 so not too bad and that's all there is to it! Hope this helps
