Hi there Folks, hope you are all well?
Hubby and I are thinking about going to the show, but we are not sure what to do?
So my question would be, have any of you been before, what was it like, was it worth the day out, did you get those un-answered questions answered?
Anyone local going - know there are a few of you from round my way.......Kinver, Halesowen etc??

Did you take the kids?
OR.........was it a complete waste of time and money?
Thoughts and/or opinions, GOOD or BAD would be welcome.
Thanx in advance

We went to the Emigrate Show at Sandown Park in the Spring. We found it very helpful as there's lots of useful information available and also the talks were interesting, especially in understanding the whole immigration process. We've since done a recce trip but we got a lot from the show.
We opted not to take the kids which was wise because it was really busy and not much for the kids to do, although ours are young (3, 5 & 7), also the talks take a while and my kids have no patience!
We would recommend the emigrate show and have considered going to the Coventry show, but not sure we fancy the drive.
I hope this helps.

Hi,
thanks for info. We will have to take the kids with us ( 6 & 10), but hope they will enjoy it, should we go?
Did you take in other Country`s talks? Did you get pestered by consultants wanting you to sign with them?

I would recommend going as we found it answered a lot of questions especially in terms of the immigration process. I depends on what you want to know really.
We didn't take in other country's talks as it was only Canada we were interested in.
There are lots of consultants but all very friendly and helpful, not pushy at all really.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Hi there
We also went to the one in Sandown and would say it is definitely worth going to.
Its a great place to get loads of info, booklets (and pens!) on various areas of moving abroad like removal companies and financial exchange and also there were different stands from the many of the provinces to give you info on what their provine has to offer. We didn't attend any of the talks but still found it very worthwhile and glad we kept all the info we were given - its coming in handy now!!
One bit of advice I would give is if you can, get tickets in advance!! When we got there the queue was HUGE and right out of the door and down through the car park and was hardly moving.. Having tickets in advance meant we just walked straight in with no queue at all!
Enjoy the day!

Hi, we're going on Saturday - leaving the kids at home. Hoping to get some info on removals and banks. The talks sound quite interesting - will be good for OH - who doesn't "do" the internet and relies on me for all the info!!!!

We're planning to go to the Coventry one, too. (We're in East Sussex)
A bit disappointed to learn that the experts from the Canadian Immigration dept will now not be attending because of their parliamentary elections.
Shame, as we were hoping they would be able to answer a lot of our questions...

I'll be giving it a go. Just trying to get as much info as possible to help in the decision on where to go.
