Dear All
Many thanks the useful information contained within the site, it has really helped us.
We will be moving out to Edmonton in April 2011, we will have a pre-visit in February for an accommodation search.
We are looking for advice on the best residential areas in Edmonton, we appreciate this is personal taste but any advice is appreciated to help us narrow the search. If there is any advice on specific real estate agents to use, this will also be much appreciated.
We have two grown up children (16 & 18), with one remaining in the UK at Uni. We are looking for a 3 bed house with reasonable access to amenities i.e. a shop and a bar (yep English!!).
Other than that not too fussy as happy to commute to the office.
Thanks
Andrew & Zena

We live in Edmonton... well, just outside in Sherwood Park. I drive in to downtown for work though.
Are you looking to rent or buy?
Generally, most people seem to gravitate towards:
St Albert- its a "city" that borders with Edmonton and is to the NE of downtown.
Sherwood Park- east of Edmonton
South Edmonton- Terwilliger, etc.
Neither is any better than the other really, and each have similar amenities/facilities.
There's Edmonton ex-pats group you should have a look at too. We've had a couple of meetups recently- eg/ bonfire night, fish & chips, etc.

Sherwood Park seems to have a lot of Brits, but I would imagine its the same all over Edmonton.
Any questions, feel free to ask. Shame you're not over here right now- it's only -20 outside at the moment

Hi
Thanks for the information it’s much appreciated. We will be looking to rent as the initial contract is 3 years so we will be keen to find a good real estate agent to help us out.
No too fussed about the driving to work as it’s the living environment that is key.
Will be a shock, currently working in Dubai where it’s close to 30 degrees.
Thanks for the detail on the web site, I have come across this previously and think it will be something we hook up with when we get into town.
Thanks
Andrew & Zena
