Hi All,
looks like i've got a job offer in Edmonton has anyone got any useful info on Edmonton and it's surrounding areas ie good areas to live etc, we did a recce 3 weeks ago but only done the mall (amazing place) the rest of our time was in Calgary, but hopefully flying out again soon for another meeting.

Personally, I find the West End of Edmonton (ie/ near the mall) to be a bit grotty. Traffic can become a pain too.
I would suggest that where you work should dictate where you live. ie/ if your workplace is going to be on the westside, you dont want to live in Sherwood Park... and vice versa.
Some of the nicer places to live are Sherwood Park and St Albert, which technically arent in Edmonton. The Southside has lots of residential development going on.
Do you have family/children, and where will you be working?
