eastlink or aliant for broadband
Hi we've done the sums so we're thinking more in terms of customer service, reliability etc, but does anyone have any opinions on either Eastlink or Aliant for telephone, tv and internet bundles in nova scotia?
Thanks
Thanks

We currently use Eastlink for everything (high speed, cable (including digital recorder / dual tuner), telephone and long distance) in Bedford. The price is fairly standard, their cable menus are great, and their customer service has always been pretty good, and way better than Rogers were in NB.
Now the bad bit..
We are moving further out of town in a couple of weeks and despite giving them at least 6 weeks notice that we have built a house (the first on our street, but only a few hundred metres from other houses) they can't get a service in for another 4-6 weeks. That is even for a regular phone line. Speaking to people around here they just need to put a cable on our power line poles, but it seems to be too much trouble for them. So they have been cancelled, and Aliant now have our business. They are a little bit more expensive, and we have to have satellite rather than cable (Bell), but they promise they can have us up and running in less than two weeks.
Aliant also do cable if you are fairly central in Halifax / Bedford.
Hope that helps. I'll be back on here moaning if Aliant don't plug us in when we move though
p.s never had a cable / internet outage with Eastlink in the last 4 months

Hi,
Got to be honest with you , their all crooks. Customer service doesn't exist with these large companies. We are all just numbers to them. Go with the best value deal. I have just changed to Aliant high speed and Bell for satellite tv as Eastlink have their head buried up their arse and cant provide service for my new property.
