Hi all
I`m trying to plan a trip to Nova Scotia and it`s looking like part of it might be over the Easter holidays (Good friday and Easter Monday).
Question is , I know that in N.S things pretty much close on a Sunday , but how far do things wind down over the Easter break ?
Were we are now in Bridlington the Easter break is heaving , but is it the opposite over there ?
Thanks in advance
Phil

Well you will find most everything closed on Good Friday, Sunday will be just the usual closing. Apart from that, everything as normal! Although you will probably find the touristy things won't be open till sometime in May. So I guess it really depends on what you are interested in. As for being heaving, I don't think NS is ever heaving!

Thanks for that corky , It`s a case of I was hoping to knock on a few doors , visit a bank , check out a couple of schools ,realtors, job market etc . Theres only so much you can glean of the internet if you know what I mean .
We visited last year and it had to be said we absolutely loved the place , although the trip turned into a bit of a holiday rather than a serious recce .This time I`m going on my own so there`ll be no chance of too much of holiday spirit .
What I was a little concerned about was sitting on a park bench somewhere watching tundra grass blow up the street while everyone is indoors eating turkey dinners for three days - you get my drift...
Cheers

Not to worry....I am sure you will find everything open and doing business. On Easter Monday the only thing that will be closed will be government offices both provincal and federal....I am not sure about banks being open on the easter Monday. Schools will be back in on tuesday. You will always find a realtor around...
