Default Earth calling Globespan

As anyone tried to get in contact with Globespan lately?

I have been trying for the last few days to no avail.

I am trying to find out about the extra baggage with them because I am trying to buy an extra 40kgs but it is telling me to input the names of four passengers when only two of us are fare paying. I wonder if you can input each passengers name twice?

Possibly only by buying 4 tickets....

Seriously, one begins to think they may be in trouble if they aren't answering the phones, might be something to do with the amount of flak they are getting at the moment. Have a look....

Hi

Their website said that you can take a maximum of 50kgs per paying passenger, and our tickets give us 30 each, so therefore I am led to believe that we are able to buy another 20 each, but can't seem to get in contact with them

I've been fine getting through to them you could try them on: 0131 466 7612 it takes them a while but they do answer (UK office hours only)

here's the excerpt from their T's and C's:

Extra baggage
Additional baggage allowance can be purchased in advance at the rate of £15 for 10 kilos per flight sector, click here to book. Excess baggage presented for carriage at the airport if accepted will be charged at a rate of £5.00 per kilo.

Each fare paying passenger is allowed a total maximum baggage weight of 50 kilos including any sports equipment, subject to available space. The maximum weight for any single piece of baggage is 32 kilos. Freight or cargo items cannot be accepted as passenger baggage.

The URL for extra baggage bookings is:

http://www.flyglobespan.com/excess.asp

Appears you can book your extra baggage online from that page.

Hope that helps.

Hi

I'm just a little concerned because I know that you are allowed 50kgs each from their website but when you try and book it, it asks for four names to be inputted but there is only two of us travelling so I am wondering if we can input our names twice

If you use the link I gave you it doesn't ask for names or anything, just let's you book the extra baggage requirement from what I can see... unless I missed anything obvious...

Hi

After you choose the flight, date and the amount you want, it takes you to another page which then asks for passenger names and if you select 10kgs it asks for one name and if you try to book 40kgs extra it asks for four names, once you have inputted the names it takes you to the next page to input your payment details

So just wondering if any knows if we can input our names twice

Hey

Finally got through in the end. They said just to input the names twice because they have to allocate each 10kgs to a passenger
