If convicted of DUI then person is inadmissible into Canada under section
36(2)(b) Immigration & Refugee Protection Act. Yes it could affect the application as they are inadmissible. If 5 years have passed since the completion of sentence imposed they are eligible to apply for rehabilitation.

What if the person is already in Canada under their PR and get's a DUI ? Will they be kicked out ?

I've not by the way - I'm just wondering !!!

I've not by the way - I'm just wondering !!!
They could be if they receive a prison sentence exceeding 6 months.
That would then fall under section 36(1)(a) of IRPA.

Nah!, BC is not in the USA, more likely WA it is legal down there now.
