Hi All,
Could someone please recommend a driving school in up-town Toronto (Yonge & Eglinton).
What I am looking for is some school/instructor to take a couple of driving lessons for the G2 road test. I passed my knowledge test today and will need to take my G2 test for the full G license, but I will only have one shot at it and would like to get it right the first time.
If someone could recommend an instructor/school you used, your help will be much appreciated.
Thank you.

I know you probably already know this but you can swap a UK licence without taking a test as long as you have had it for 2 years. Just double checking but I am sure if this was the case they would have told you when you did the written test.
I did my test before they brought in the swap rule and I definately found a quick lesson to be helpful. Also as I had no car I could use the instructors car for the test. Another thing I found to make it easier was to take the test way out of the city in a smaller town. This also let me get a test date in 2 weeks rather than like 3 months. I took mine in Lindsey which is about an hour or two north east of Toronto and so I got a good driving practice in on the way there and was in full test mode when I did it and got to drive back knowing I had my licence. The test centre most people take it at up by Aurora is really busy and I'd not fancy doing a driving test downtown.
i just called a whole bunch of people in the phone book. I was living outside the city at the time so got a local guy in Newmarket but I'd guess most will be able to show you the basics. You just need to know everything that will be in the test and most importantely how they expect you to do it. Some of it is different than in the UK, like crossing hands when turning rather than keeping them parallel etc. that I would never have known about.

Thanks to both of you guys. Very helpfull information.
Unfortunately, I am not from the UK and will have to do my test
. I opted for the North York center first, but the closest date they could give me was December 24th :scared: . Getting the G1 today was a good start but I certainly would like to have it done 'n dusted before X-mas
. I will check some of the out-of-town centers tomorrow to see if the lead-times there are any better. Many thanks for the tip, Drew. Will also call to Sears and Young Drivers tomorrow. Thanks for the lead, Ray.
