Default Driving Licences & Passports

Hi everyone.

A couple of quick questions.

We will be landing in NS hopefully in September, once we have sold up etc. and my Wife's UK passport is up for renewal in February 2009. Should we therefore renew this passport now or not bother??

Also, if we get international driving licences, can we drive in NS for a year instead of 3 months on the usual UK passports?

Thanks everyone. See you in NS later this year! Woohoo!!
