Default Driving Licence Question

Hi

Im moving from Ireland to Saskatchewan in May and will be exchanging my drivers licence over there as there is a reciprocal agreement, however I may move over to alberta by the end of the summer.

Will I be able to change my new Sask licence to Alberta licence in such a short space of time?

Thanks.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you have evidence that you are then living in Alberta.

You usually have 90 days to swap over licences. Is yours an Irish or UK licence as Alberta doesn't have the reciprocal swap over with Ireland

Saskatchewan does and Alberta will swap your Saskatchewan one for an Alberta one

Be warned though that you will undoubtedly pay for a licence in Saskatchewan and then again in Alberta! There won't be any refunds even though you have paid for a 5 year licence.
