I thought the problem is that the moose find you... for something so big they seem to be virtually impossible to spot at night until you are right on top of one (or is that underneath one)

Long leggity beasties.... Moose Driving Season or is it Driving into Moose Season? Well what ever it is it is almost upon us here in NB. I am spreading the season, I think our most prolific month is June.

When you meet your first you realise they are big buggers! Perhaps we should all take to driving MG Midgets or perhaps Mini's and they we can drive underneath them

Yep thats about the size of it! They are bloody huge. The problem is if you run into one their legs are so long you hit them at the knees and they fall on your bonnet and come through the windscreen!

I saw a friend's ford ranger pickup truck with the roof of the cab almost torn right off because on stepped out as she drove past and clipped the cab. Very lucky escape.

Here in NB they have been installing wildlife fencing along trans canada highway and route's prone to Moose wandering. They have built underpasses for wildlife to cross the roads and this season will really be the first test.
