Default Dried flowers

Hi there,

This may seem like a silly question! I did google it but can't find a proper answer.
We are starting to pack up bits to bring over with us when we get PR and my wedding flowers have been dried out after our wedding.

Am I able to bring these to Canada or are they disallowed? I know that they may not make it en route as they are fragile but it would be nice to try as they are obviously of high sentimental value. I would hate to have to chuck them!!!

Will they make it through customs? I know that certain plant products are subject to restrictions but cannot find info on dead, dried flowers.

Thanks in advance!

I wrapped all my dried flowers in tissue paper and bought them. I would ask the packers for a box to pack your own personal things, they will be used to ladies asking to do this, and put them in that. What the packers eye doesnt see his heart wont grieve over.

Its seed pods that they get in a flap about.

Good luck with the packing its a very emotional time.

Seeds in non commercial quantities are OK and don't need to have a phyto, plants and live plants parts do.

Dried flowers do not need an import permit nor a phytosanitary certificate.

Is that related to a sanity certificate? Because the OP may need one of those.

Hi there. I bought my wedding bouquet over with me too. I don't know if it's been done in the same way as your's but my flowers were preserved somehow (apparently not just dried) and mounted in a frame. Our removals company packed it and just listed it under wall hangings! Glad to report it made it over in perfect condition!
