Hi All,
Please can someone confirm if we are allowed to take a 3 month old staffordshire bull terrier to Canada?
Thanks,
MR79

Absolutely. There is some good information on wiki on importing animals. There are few rule on import to Canada but to come back to the UK you will need a pet passport which include rabies jabs and a 6 month waiting period post vaccination. i am using air pets in Heathrow and they do all the arrangements for you

Does it fall under the "pit bull or similar" category? If so, and if you're looking at Ontario, there may be a problem, Ontario introduced a ban and the savage dogs had to shipped to BC.

We fetched 3 dogs of which one was a staff cross with no problems but you will have to make sure the dog isn't on the dangerous dog list as you may have problems as mentioned in previous post. Each province may have their own issues but also check with customs/immigration
