It rarely rains here in the Okanagan, we are at the tip of a desert that runs down through the States. We get mild winters with no rain, just a bit of snow. We get hot summers with no rain.
If you hate rain as much as I do then you need to come to the Okanagan!

Hi,
We've lived in Victoria B.C. for three years and we've had nothing but glorious long summers. I used to ride a motorbike in the UK and it was toture most of the time, bikers I speak to here ride their bikes for 10 months of the year. I cycle to work all year round - had one day of snow last year - other than that it's no problem.
Cheers - Steve

This is a COASTAL RAINFOREST AREA
. So yes, expect some rain!! However, I don't think it rains that much, it doesn't drizzle much and the summers (this is my third) are ACE!!

It rains more here than in London, on average. It is sheet rain too, when it does pour and lasts from November to April.

Oh yes, Dingbat is spot on! with the type of rain, sometimes it is just like being in a vertical swimming pool!
When we landed we were experiencing the tail end of a typoon that had hit Japan, and that was the wettest I'd ever known it! (It did worry me a bit that Vancouver was always going to be like that!)Personally, we could do with a bit more rain at the moment...
