Does Canada accept retired people?
Hi - I live in Jersey right now - and am actively putting my house up for sale, as I would like to retire and emigrate. Obviously I would have ample funds to live on, and I would also envisage continuing with my private Health Scheme.
My first choice is Canada, and in particular Quebec, as I have many friends there. Does anyone know if Canada and/or Quebec will accept retired people as permanent residents?

They got rid of the retiree class for immigration a few decades ago.
But since you are going to be financially well off, you may want to consider the Business class. You should contact a professional, or if you just want general information, check out the CIC website for information as to if its possible for you to immigrate as part of the business class.

Retirees category was eliminated many years ago, sorry.
You may still be approved if you qualify in any existing category - Skilled Workers,
Business or Family.
