Do you get a new SIN # with a new WP?
#1
So we were here for a year on BUNAC. Had SIN's starting with a 9, that expire the same day as our BUNAC visas.
Whilst on the BUNAC visas we were accepted on to BC PNP and have sent off for new WP to Vegreville.
Now BC PNP have assured me that so long as Vegreville received our new WP applications before our current BUNAC ones run out, then we will be fine, so I am not worried about that. But we need the new WP in hand before we can go to our local Service Canada Centre for the new SIN #.
So my question is: will this new SIN # be the same as our current ones, but just with the expiry date altered, or will it be a new number, and hence I should tell our employers to hold off paying us for the interim period?
Many thanks,
