Hi, My family and i will be going to canada in 4 weeks time on an intra-company transfer visa for 1 year initially. Question: Do I need a return flight to show immigration when we get there? Any savings on air fare would be helpful!!
Any advise is greatful.

Not an expert, but I shouldn't imagine that you need a return flight if you have a valid visa for a year ..... do return flights cover such a long period anyway????

You can buy an open return valid for up to a year on schedule airlines, doubtful from charters. One way is often no cheaper then a regular return, open returns usually cost more though.

I've always found one ways to be more expensive than returns.
Book the return trip at the maximum forward date, normally one year, if you want to use it just pay the change rate to alter the date. If you don't use it you've lost nothing.
