Hi all,
I posted a job listing on this forum the last time we had one, and had a good response (alas, the job went elsewhere in the end but a couple of BE members were interviewed and made the last cut - no need to worry about "Canadian experience" here, and it's a great company!)
Please note you must already have PR status or be otherwise legally able to work in Canada. This is aimed primarily at those who have recently moved or are just about to move and are actively seeking employment in the IT field. We are primarily a C++ shop.
If you read the spec below and feel you are a good fit, please send me a PM and I will pass on more details.
Mods: I think this is within forum rules? Please let me know if not, just trying to help folks out!
Desired strengths:
Ideally 5+ years in the following areas -
Cheers, Iain

Might want to train someone up. I was coming into this thread to say that there are plenty of dev jobs over here... but then I saw it was mostly a job post.
Look towards recent graduates who are quite bright coming out of UBC or SFU perhaps...

Oh, we have no problem recruiting, and have good relations with both UBC and SFU comp science programmes which have both provided good junior programmers for us in the past.
The point of this post was to try and offer timely warning of a new posting to fellow Brits if any were seeking a position like this over here and have suitable experience.
Posts regarding difficulty finding IT jobs or overcoming Canadian experience bias seem to come up all the time on BE, so just trying to be helpful

Thanks to those that have responded.
Cheers, Iain
