Please, New immigrant need some information/web links on getting dental/treatment & dental insurance in Ontario.

There is no state dental coverage like OHIP covers doctors, but finding a dentist is easy, talk to people for a recomendations, or use the yellow pages. Most full time jobs with benefits will have dental insurance provision, 100% coverage for basic stuff and 80% coverage for other proceedures is typical, although it seems all dentists charge more than the provincially recomended level that the insurers pay out to. Most dentists now offer payment plans to cover non insured patients, or you can pay for your own private insurance, although I suspect its not cheap.

There is also some very basic emergency dentistry cover for welfare recipients, but i dont think that will apply to new residents.
