Hi Jo
Sorry to hear you have been bug ridden!!!YUK!! We escaped it or it could not penatrate....to much wine I guess!!! We didn't catch anything in Dartmouth either, very lucky this year! No.1 grandson came home with something called Fifths disease.....I am still not sure what it is but he is ok now! So hope all get better in your house.
There will be a few coming over in January to have a look around Nova Scotia so hopefully we can all meet up. Wendy, when are you planning a trip over? Sue I shall be intouch with you soon, we have had computer problems, been invaded with spys....
We got out lobster today from a fisherman in Liverpool so will be feasting on that tonight...such a good deal as well.
Everyone have a great safe New Year....may all good things happen soon.

Hi Angie,

Glad to hear that you haven't all been struck down with the bug. All the best to you all, hope you had a good one! We all went round to a friend's (and neighbours, no taxi fare!) for a party. Good food, drink and karaoke, can't beat it. Just been for a meal with all the family on New Years Day and have been reminded of one of the things I so hate about the UK. Apart from the fact that the food was very average, the service was appalling. Carol gave a £20 note at the bar and got change from a £10, the manageress (with attitude like you wouldn't believe) apparently checked the till, and, surprise, surprise, the till was correct. Someone is obviously £10 better off and rubbing our noses in it. The woman taking the orders was very abrupt and kept rolling her eyes and looking up at he ceiling, couldn't have made it more obvious that she did'nt want to be there and wanted us to be there even less. The chef ended up coming out to collect the plates. What's going on? Anyway, back home now (at Carol and Keith's), having a drink and chilling out.
I'm sure that you can count Dave, Keith and Tony in to meet up with you in January on their trip. Will mail you and Jo again soon. Wendy, hope to see you soon too, will mail you in next few days
Take care

Sue

Hi Corky,

It's A big shame that samuel can't go to school this year, but i'm sure he will be ok in a pre-school for another year.
