Default Crossing boarder with dog

Can anyone advise if i will need anything for the dog if we cross the boarder ??

We brought our dog with us so he has a passport from the uk.
But sister in law's dog hasnt, so not sure what they will need?

I wouldn't cross your boarder if I were you. They may not pay their rent.

I live in New Jersey, USA and often cross the border into Canada. All I've ever been asked to produce is proof of rabies shots. Just to be sure I always carry the rabies and yearly shots certificate.

Of the dozens of times I've crossed the border I've only twice been asked to provide the rabies certificate. Both times were when crossing into Canada. The first time was the first time I'd forgotten the paperwork but the IO accepted the dog's rabies tags on their collar as proof.
