Crazy amounts of snow in Canmore
#1
Is anyone else getting this? We have had about 45cm so far today, it shows no signs of letting up, just been told another 25cm overnight! Stuff work, I'm off skiiing tomorrow
I just took this picture from my window, there was no snow anywhere to be seen yesterday.

Hubby was up at Sunshine today. No grooming and BIG, DEEP snow - was pretty hard going apparently !! And poor light made it hard to see the contours of the slopes. But he still had a great day.
(The road up to Sunshine made for an interesting drive, and his driver did a 360 at one point
).
It's a snowing big, wet, sideways snow here in Cochrane - I think you might disappear in Canmore overnight. Report back tomorrow
(What happened to the "Sunny and 12 degrees on Friday" that was forecast two days ago? We're supposed to be going to a BBQ
)
Enjoy

It had been raining here in SW Calgary, but a few minutes ago it turned to big, wet snowflakes.

we were driving home from work on Macleod trail to 20'ks north of cochrane near Bottrel at 5 pm. raining in the city until we hit Bearspaw, then changed to VERY heavy snow.
right now we have had over 40cm in the last 3 hours on our deck. our car is half buried, and my mum's school bus is stuck 200m from the house at the bottom of the drive.
definitely want to go snowboarding this weekend, in fact we are considering trying out on our acreage now which has a nice hill.. just a shame we both have work tomorrow back on Macleod at 8am!

No snow to report in Lethbridge ,yet. Ive got the inlaws arriving tommorow so maybe would be nice if they saw some snow for a change.
Its sounds like proper wet snowman building snow too, have fun kids.

I've got the number 25 this morning too - but it's not degrees, it's cm's of snow outside the house.
This is the most snow I've seen in Alberta this year. OK, it's probably nothing by Ontario standards ... but I'm suitably impressed/fed up/interested !
Solarfish - you be careful out there in the wilderness ....

It´s dull and grey today but yesterday we had a thunder storm and so much rain my roof started leaking.
Houses aren´t built for bad weather here.

Oh god, it's now 27.1c and still going up. I hope all that snow melts before we come over on the 24th May, I've packed away all my winter clothes
