I'm not knocking Belleville nor Cornwall nor Parry Sound nor Alliston nor Guelph just wondering why, if you were in one, there would be any need to see another.

It makes a change - like I said, it's usually just me and Clynnog disagreeing on Windsor threads ;)

My problems lie more with the large disparity in Detroit with the inner city (basically the City of Detroit, plus Hamtramack and Highland Park) versus the various Pointe's and suburbs stretching out forever. Windsor and Detroit sort of blend into one another in many of these conversations.....I don't have anything against LaSalle.... The climate in Windsor is too hot in the summer and not enough snow in the winter, but I realize I'm in the minority. As well, the lack of wooded areas and general unspoilt beauty nearby is a minus for me. If you are in the auto, casino, trucking or strip club industry then Windsor is as good as it gets in Canada. |

I live in a wooded area, forest with trails and parkland less than a mile from my front door. I'd post the google earth image but I think I'd have nutters turning up! There is sprawl in LaSalle but it's been done very well imho, unusual to have newer neighbourhoods like this so treed - I found the new development on the other side of Windsor (Lakeshore/BelleRiver) bald and soulless by comparison. For natural beauty we go to the UP, there might be nice stuff closer but we haven't really explored SW Ontario, tend to head over the border. I'm definitely not with you on the climate, weirdo  |

It is what it is, I'm not arguing about that, but I don't see that the problems there affect anyone's wanting to live in Windsor or use Detroit facilities.
I'm definitely not with you on the climate, weirdo  I realize my climate preferences are not shared by many...this winter in Ottawa was great with 437 cm of snow (they never did quote the imperial equivalent). Hopefully one day people in Daytrois will invigorate their city...first thing to do would be to get rid of that gangsta mayor and clear out the corruption in their school board which creates the impetus for many people to have their kids go to private schools or schools out of their local district...none of which are good things for vibrant communities. |
