conjugal visa from the uk
first time posting hope this makes sense!
Just had an interview for conjugal visa in London, and was told not allowed to get visa. Reason being is that my girlfriend and i had not lived together for a year. Case is left open for 4 months pending our next decision.
My question is , if i go over to visit her in canada would i be allowed in the country? i seem to be getting conflicting info, some saying yes and some saying no.
Or if anyone else out there has had experience of having a conjugal visa rejected and wud like to chat to help, as at moment it is all very very confusing!!!
Does anyone have any advice on this matter, thanks
for your help

Hi, how bl**dy frustrating for you.
There is a group I would like to suggest to you - it is a yahoo discussion group that specifically deals with spousal/congugal immigration to Canada.
It is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/canadian_immigration/
They are a very helpful bunch and some are such experts!
Best of luck to you, hope you get to visit your partner soon...

I'd say you can go and visit for 90 days anyway, as long as you have a UK passport and a return trip. You may need to show funds to support yourself and where you'll be staying, but a 90 day visa should be no problem.

Thank you for the advice, i was told by the interviewing officer that they have no problem with me visiting but they can speak for the individual officer i meet on the day!!! It is a very big grey area and i think right through this process there has never been anyone that can give a yes or no answer!
