It should take around the 20 to 25 minute time. Can depend where in Fall river you are. If your in Fall river village area can take you 10 to 15 minutes to get out of fall river, as you can catch all the school traffic and that's if your leaving at 8ish. If you live the other end on Miler lake then your straight on to the highway with in minutes and don't have any of that traffic jam.

If you have to be in Halifax for 7.30 you won't hit any traffic at that time. Over by Brook street you will be straight down Holland rd on the Highway 2, no traffic at that time.

The commute from Fall River, depending on which area, but generally should be around 30-35 minutes, at the moment with schools being closed it is 30 minutes, but once schools, colleges start again there is a significant increase in volume of traffic. I travel down Hwy 118, leaving home at 07:15, from Fall River, it takes 5 minutes to get onto the 118, then straight down to Dartmouth. You have two choices, the Mackay or MacDonald bridge. At the moment I am taking the MacDonald as traffic is light through Dartmouth, before summer I would take the MacKay and drive along Barrington to downtown.

Two things to consider, there is no public transport from Fall River so you have to take car or car pool. You could drive to MicMac Park n Ride and bus it from there, but it very cold in the winter waiting for a bus, second, parking is limited downtown so sort yourself out a monthly pass, these run from $100 up + tax, depending on location of course.

HTH

PS Get snow tyres for the winter months....
