Default Coming to Edmonton for 3 weeks in may/june time- hotel or holiday rental!?

Has anyone got any experience with this? Is it cheaper to go to a hotel for 3 weeks or to rent a holiday place?

Anyone know of any cheap hotels or holiday rentals!?

Thanks!

I can't offer a comparison just tell you what we did. We already knew we wanted to focus on Sherwood Park so we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Sherwood Park. You get a free breakfast and although we got fed up with it towards the end of our stay it was still cost effective, especially as we had our two kids with us.

It was clean and tidy and our room was right next to the free computer with internet, which was useful.

Why not stay in a Bed and Breakfast? There are some really classy ones all over Edmonton, plus you get to stay with friendly folks who can give you all the info you need about the City. We stayed in a B & B for 4 months when we first arrived (and negotiated a cheap rate because of the long stay and by agreeing not to take breakfast), but in any event many of the B&Bs still work out cheaper than staying in a hotel. Ours was like a small apartment, with kitchen, separate bedroom, sitting room, bathroom, and access to a beautiful garden. We are still good friends with the owners and it was a marvellous way to learn all about Edmonton through local eyes.

There's a website with all the Edmonton B&Bs on it if you google it.
