Hi,

Anybody receive a letter with the final decession requesting passport to issue visa, who did thier medicals in August or later 2002.

I am a Sikked worker catagory, immi applicant, I did my medicals in the second week of Augut 2002, and interview in first week of OCt 2002. Still waitng..... Waiting is killing us

you know i'm waiting from April to recive an answer from them.
I've done the medicall examination on April 04 2002 and i'm still waiting
soo i think you have to play this waiting game.....

Did you applied through CHC Colombo? are you belongs to Colombo Juridiction?

It is stremly terible situation? waitinf from April, more than 8 months.....

Did you contact the visa office? whats their answer?

No I have applied from Italy(Rome)I'm Italian,but I answered to yuo to make you understand that in general the frame time from the selection(after the intrerwue) and the final decision may be (dipends on cases-remember that no any application is similar for the officers of immigration) exstended from 6 mounth(normaly) to one year (in certain cases). That's why i think cose them need to verify some credencials like work experiance and other before they make a final decision . I didn't contanc yet the visa office cose they explain that very clear-( when I received the file number was there a letter in additional which explained the steps) if the frame time is more than one year(i think that it's no so probable at the end they always respect the frame time ) in that case you must immidiatly contact the office in other case you must not contact them cose that may cause more delays to your application and you must contact them(by mail or fax not phone) only for changes like address, marital status or family composition
For the moment i'm still waiting....and i have many money tranfered in a canadian bank account from July 2002!!
And my problem is that if the medical examination frame time passed more than one year(they are valid for one year)what happens after? i don't know
I'm just wating for the moment.
But remember important is that -no any applcation is the same so i hoope in your case they will answer to you soon cose is terrible this waiting time

Many thanks for your reply. The visa officer said me at the interview that the final decession will take further 3-6 months (from the date of medicals) for the final decession depending on the medicals.

So I belive it will come in next few weeks.

It is unbeliveable, why is it slow for you. I think you should land before April, if your case sucessful (as your medical done in April 2002). You have still time but........

I think best think is compare with similar cases in Rome CHC. Then you can have some idea. Or take CAIPS Notes, but it kate some money

In my case I have little more time untill August..
