In the UK Saturday 25th March.

Does similar happen in Ontario ? If not when does the 5 hour time difference return ?

Cheers.

Yes but not everyware

Daylight Saving Time begins for most of Canada on the first Sunday of April. At 2 a.m. we set our clocks forward one hour ahead of standard time. Time reverts to standard time on the last Sunday of October when at 2 a.m. we set our clock back one hour and thus returning to standard time.

The phrase “spring forward, fall back” helps people remember how Daylight Saving time affects their clocks.

This year (2004) Daylight Saving Time will begin April 4. This day will only have 23 hours—the hour from 02:00:00 to 03:00:00 will be lost when we “spring forward."

Anyone working from midnight to 8:00 a.m. will only be on the job for seven hours, not eight and expect many people to be one hour late Sunday morning.

Although most of Canada does observe Daylight Saving Time, some areas of the county do not.
