I was once arrested (without charge) - I know there will be some sort of record of this - but do i still have a 'clean criminal record'?
(word of advice, ..never help a drunk with a head injury in the street. You may get accused of hitting them with a glass)

If you weren't charged, had your DNA taken, supplied fingerprints I don't think you will have a record.

You will have a PNC record (police national computer record- to match your name to your DNA/Prints) but you will not have a criminal record. I do not know how this will show up on your police certificate.
The rules were changed a few years ago giving British police the power to take post arrest/pre charge DNA and Fingerprints.
