In our experience, that means that the letter of acknowledgment will be dated September 26th, but you won't receive for another few weeks. It will come with the Welcome to Canada booklet.

We had the same question and when the wife spoke to CIC, they said a certification of completion for an academic course is sufficient as so long it can show that the course was in English. We used her GCSE certs and one for a diploma she is doing. They did say that it can't be for a 'one-day' training program.
